Tufnut® security nut
The Tufnut® security nut has been developed to offer an effective and affordable solution for impulse theft and vandalism. Made of cold rolled steel (C1010), hardened to RC55-60, electro galvanised and chromated yellow (resistant to a 200 hour salt spray test).
1. Manually tighten the first Tufnut®.
2. Tighten a second Tufnut® onto the bolt the other way around, until it's half a turn from the first nut. Now tighten using a wrench or spanner.
3. Remove the second Tufnut®. What is left is a secured nut.
4. You cannot dismantle this.
